Tacoma is born in Puyallup Washington

Tacoma William Smith
Tacoma was born the 29th, of June 2007. He weighed 6 lbs and 6 oz. You might wonder where Tacoma got his name. Me and Paul had many names in mind but could not decide on any. My little brother Stevie mentioned to us to call him Tacoma because that is what they where calling him on the basketball team. I thought it was a joke but Paul liked it and researched the meaning of the name. It is the name of one of the largest cities in Washington, is Hebrew for the ability to stand ones ground. In fact, Tacoma is referred to in Leviticus 26:37 warns that if you don’t follow Gods laws you will not have Tacomah the ability to stand firm before your enemies
Also in Archaic Hebrew word Tacoma is in reference to a Resurrection in the last day
Also Indigenous name for Mount Rainier, deriving from the puyallup tacobet indians "mother of waters"

Tacoma is ready for church

Tacoma is 5 months

Tacoma is now 5 months old, He is such an active baby. From 10 days old he has been able to roll over from his stomach to his back during tummy time. I thought he was trying to do Pilates moves by lifting his head and feet at the same time while on his stomach. Tacoma has also been very colicky the first three months but is doing much better. Tacoma loves his Johnny Jumper and to see his dad come home everyday. Paul can always make Tacoma laugh when he gets home. Tacoma is talking a lot lately, well trying to any way. He is doing a lot of cooing and babbling. I have to take him out of Relief Society because he likes to make so many noises. Tacoma has been a blessing and a joy to have in our lives.

Amber the new soccer mom!

When I got done with school I graduated in Education and got a teaching job at Mountain Crest High School. I taught there two years and was the head soccer coach for a year. It was a great experience. Since Paul had to go the U I got a new teaching job a South Jordan Middle School last year. It was awful maybe because I was Prego all year. Now I am staying home with Tacoma and loving every minute of it.

Paul is almost done!

Paul is in his last year of school getting his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. He had to do an out of state internship so we went to Sumner Washington where my parents are now living. Paul left the beginning of May and I left a little latter to finish up the school year. Paul is now in his last semester of School and will finish with two internships this spring 2008 one at the U and the other in Bountiful. It will be interesting to see where Paul gets a job and we end up next year. This summer was amazing me and my mom would go walk every day by the river the temperature was 80 degrees most of the time. If your ever pregnant in the summer go to Washington it is absolutely beautiful. Paul did a lot of Mountain biking, Hiking, and Fishing with my little bro stevie and my Dad. While me and my mom prepared for the baby. I loved having the baby close to my parents. They were such a blessing to us. They will never know how grateful we are to them for helping us out this summer
