Winter crafts and potty training

Naomi loves to play dress up this is her new style cowgirl boots and a tutu everyday!

We hate, well I hate being inside all day I go crazy. I would tell my friends that we would go on walks and bikerides 2-3 times a day in the summer because of my kids, I finally realized its because of me. I need to be outside I love the sun. Since it has been like 4 degrees outside we have been doing alot more crafts and reading which the kids love, not me so much.  Tacoma is my fort maker and loves to dress up as spiderman, batman or as a pirate at least once a day. He is loving preschool and is writing his name and sounding out 2 and 3 letter words like mom, cat, dog, sam. He is also able to do simple math, and count the number of syllabulls in words.  He is so ready for kindergarten I cant wait to sign him up. Malia is still doing joy school 1x a week and loves to do whatever Tacoma is doing so she usually is a bad guy trying to kill spiderman or batman. My dad laughs that she is the girliest girl with her lipstick, purse and tutus but loves to also run around with a sword and a cape.

Tacoma wanted to decorate my house for valentines day!

Naomi is potty trained at 23 months. My sister sent me this book how to potty train in three days. I almost gave up because I thought she was still too small but we stuck through the 3 days and now she only wears diapers at night and during her nap. We probably went through 30 underwear with 3 successes the first 2 days, but on the evening of the second day she got it figured out. I new she was already showing signs of potty training I think it helps to have to watch two older siblings use the potty your whole life. She was always interested in the potty and loved to just sit there and pretend she was doing something and pretend to wipe her bum and flush it was so much fun to her. The book wanted me to train naomi to say potty when she needed to go. So I would ask a million times a day if she needed to go potty. What would finally happen is that she would yell potty as she was peeing in her undies. So I had to be with her all day to see if I could catch her going and keep asking. With my other kids I would take them every 30 min to the potty and I would get lucky and most of the time not. The other kids took a lot longer to potty train because it was me who was trained not them.  The only problem now is that she yells potty and still half the time she goes and the other half she thinks its fun to sit there. So she is still driving my crazy! I still think girls are way easier to potty train than boys.

Christmas fun!

I took the kids sledding down the middle of the road during a way bad winter storm. All of my neighbors thought I was nuts but we had fun. I love it when it snows so much that the only way to get out is by a sled.

We spent Christmas with my parents up in Logan. It what fun to spend time up there. We went sledding alot and went to stephs house for the kids to play. Tacoma was not too excited about getting work lights for christmas and said thanks mom I can use those when I grow up and didnt want to keep opening the present. That is what santa gets for shopping on ebay and getting used toys. But he got pretty pumped up when he found out how many spider man guys, cars, motorcyles where in that box. Malia got a doll house and a barbie horse carriage but the only thing she really wanted and even liked was the lipstick she got for christmas. You could tell that was her favorite thing because she looked like a clown until new years when it finally ran out. Naomi got a baby alive that speaks spanish. She loves taking care of her babies.

More Fall fun!

Biking on the BMX Track

Having fun at the Dinosaur Park

Courtney works with Paul and told us to come ride her parents miniature horses. The kids had a blast even though they didn't get to ride very long. Naomi was scared to death and just cried the whole time but Malia and Tacoma had fun. Tacoma thinks he is a cowboy with his steel toe boots and hat. I love it!

We went to Corn bellys with our friends Katie, Ross and their kids and had a great time

They had a princess area of the park the kids loved it!

Since Soccer has been over I have been trying to keep my kids busy by doing more crafts. My kids love to do Crafts so we have been making home made play doe,  painting fall trees, making pirate and princess ships, Turkeys and when the weather is nice we like to play with sidewalk chalk.

Yeah! Tacoma can finally write his name!

This month has been crazy busy we went to Provo for a weekend, then I went to my parents for a weekend, then I went to Park city for a few days and then we leave again to Provo for Thanksgiving. While staying with my parents my dad was kneeling down and Naomi thought we were praying so I had to take a picture. She loves to pray and yell amen at the end. And she has started sitting on the potty. I haven't really started potty training but she loves to yell Potty and run to the toilet so I let her sit there for a while she thinks its great to sit there and pretend to wipe her own bum. She is saying a lot of words she knows all the parts of her body in Spanish  all the animal noises when I point to an animal or ask her Que dice la vaca? ( what does the cow say) she will moo back. She likes to say " Hola Coma"( Hi Tacoma) I love this age it my favorite she loves to copy what everyone else is saying. Tacoma loves to remind me habla espanol mama ( speak spanish mom) It is easier for me to speak English so half the time I forget but he likes it when I speak spanish to him. Tacoma and Malia understand everything and now Tacoma says "si Mama" after I tell him to do things. He has always called me mom and paul dad and he asked me how do you say mom and dad in Spanish so lately he has been saying Mama and Papa. Malia struggles more speaking spanish when we where with my mom I told her speak spanish to Abuela and she said " I did I said Gallina and Pajaro" Chicken and bird.  And she said that all I know.
