Malias Joy School Class

Malias Best Friend Abby

My Parents came down to spend the weekend with us so we went to the dinosaur musuem

I have been super busy since July 30th. I have been coaching the Carbon High School girls soccer team.  Me Tracy Brady and Cynthia Lancaster with our 12 children combined. All three of us were the head coaches and we rotated all of the away games so that we only had to go to three. We would take care of each others children when the other coach went to an away game. It was a lot of work and time. I was the head coach at Mountain Crest in 2005 and it was a lot easier with out children. The good thing was that our field was in the middle of a track so my kids would ride their bikes and scooters around and play while we coached. We also rotated the practices so it wasn't as stressful and the other coaches could keep an eye on the kids. Tacoma loved going to play with the other kids and ride his bike everyday. The hard part for me was that I did a lot of canning this year, over 60 quarts of peaches, 18 quarts and 12 pints of salsa, 8 quarts of tomatoes, 18 quarts of pears, 24 quarts of apple pie filling and 12 quarts of apple sauce. Plus all of the blanching and freezing of my garden vegetables like broccoli  beets, carrots, and spinach. I also stored the rest of my potatoes, carrots, winter squash and apples in the cold cellar. I love having a garden but it was a ton of work. Paul would come home and beg me to stop canning and I told him I couldn't just through the food away. Any way Soccer season would have been better if it was in the spring. Malia is doing Joy School once a week and Tacoma has another year of preschool and is going three days a week. Tacomas birthday was the end of June but we decided to wait a year to put him in kindergarten. I am so glad I waited so that he will be the oldest in his class. Naomi is starting to put words together and is speaking spanglish like the rest of the kids. My nephew was here and she kept saying to him Hi Bebe! it was so cute. She can point to every body part in spanish and understands everything I say to her in spanish like put your clothes in the dirty clothes, or pick up your toys, or do you want to eat?
