My mom graduates with her Masters!

My mom is an amazing person she is the most self driven, determined person I know when it comes to school. My mom has always instilled in us the importance of having an education. That is why she came to the United States was to get an education. My mom has two bachelors degrees and now a Masters of Science in Management Information Systems. Which means she is a whiz with computers. We are so proud of her and all of her hard work she is such an example to all of us. Steph made all the grandkids matching shirts to wear to the graduation and Emily made graduation hats all of the kids looked great. We got my mom a really nice road bike for mothers day and graduation, she loved it!

Spring is here!

If it is ever warm we like to go outside. I have been busy putting in curbing, weed barrier, bark, flowers, garden, weeds, and rocks. I love to work outside and get dirty my neighbors probably think I am nuts. I kept getting comments like where are your other children? where is your baby? When ever Malia and Naomi take a nap me and Tacoma go outside to work. I think everyone expects mothers who just had a baby to stay inside all day and never come out I don't know. Any way its finally been warm enough to get Tacoma ridding his bike with out training wheels and Malia likes to go four wheeling

Naomi's Blessing day

I have a love hate relationship with my children getting blessed. I love putting my babies in their beautiful white blessing clothes and feeling the spirit during the blessings. I felt the spirit so strong when Naomi was blessed when Paul said Naomi's full name Naomi Floralba Smith. Floralba is Pauls moms name she died last year the middle of April. It was so hard for all of us. It was hard to not have her there when Naomi was born but we new she was just with her before she was born and felt her presence. It was hard to not have her there on Naomi's blessing day, but I felt that she was there right when Paul said her name. She was an amazing woman and I learned so much from her. I am always teaching my sisters how she cooked or how she cleaned. My sisters would say why do it that way and I would say I don't know Pauls mom always did and it worked way better. I wish she was there to spend the day with us, but it still turned out great. I told Paul that it took three children to finally figure out how to have the blessing day with less stress. I always stressed out trying to feed all of Pauls family and mine. Paul family has over 30 grandchildren plus my family with aunts and uncles and more kids. This time we blessed the baby at 9:00 and had the whole family stay for all of the meetings while I went home and got everything ready and feed the baby. It was so nice to have everything ready and sit and enjoy everyones company compared to running around with my head cut off and having 40 people ask me what they could do to help. I will always have it this way it was so much better.
