2nd Annual Womens 6v6 Tournament

This is the second year I have put together a 6v6 womens soccer tournament in Cache Valley. It was so much work last year that I swore that I would never do it again, but I did. The reason I even thought of putting together a soccer tournament is because there are no Adult soccer tournaments that are not on Sunday. I played college soccer at Utah State and we played our games on Sunday. It was hard to do then but even harder as a mom who wants to be an example for her kids. Growing up all soccer tournaments were on Sunday and I always played it was the only way to get recruited at a collegiate level. I think that if one tournament started having their games not on Sunday maybe everyone would follow. It is sad that we live in the state of Utah and all soccer tournaments are on Sunday. If any state should set the example it should be Utah. So I have refused to play any more games on Sunday and put this tournament together because I love to compete. It was a sport that I was so passionate about that it took over my life completely. So even though I am old I still love the game and will continue to put this tournament on as long as I can play. It was fun to play with my three sisters and some players that I played with in college

Tacoma turns 4 and summer fun

For Tacomas birthday he wanted a dinosaur birthday then it changed to a bug birthday and I couldnt find a pinata in the shape of a bug so we did a shark birthday I made shark cup cakes and gave the kids shark squirt guns and had a pinata. We had it at the park so i wouldnt have to plan to many activities for the kids they had tons of fun with the squirt guns and none of them new what a pinata was so it was fun.

Yellowstone and Jackson Hole

We went up to Rexburg to spend some time with Paul's sister Debbie and her family. We were able to go to the Rexburg Temple which was so beautiful and go up to Yellowstone. We saw buffalo, elk, bear and antelope. Tacoma loved looking for all of the animals. We went on alot of hikes and saw waterfalls and hot springs. We spent the night at mammoth hot springs. It was fun hanging out with Debbie's family. After we went to Jackson Hole with my family and stayed in a condo with them it was fun we went river rafting, swimming and went on more hikes. It was a fun week.
