Once there was a Snow Man!

Today was just a great day! My friend Andrea came over with her two little girls to make Santa clauses, and sugar cookie snow men while we listened to Christmas music. It was fun to catch up on things. After they left me and Tacoma went outside to build a snow man. or I built the snow man while he tried to smash it. Any way after we came in to drink hot chocolate. I love winter days like this. I also wish I could be snowboarding but there is nothing better than being a mom.

Nose Surgery weekend

I just got surgery on my nose on Thursday. I have always been a mouth breather since I can remember. When I sleep or watch t.v my mouth is usually always open. And if any one knows me really well I never stay up late I always go to bed around 9:00-9:30 because I am so exhausted at the end of the day. Paul's friend got this surgery done and had great results since he can breath better he gets more oxygen and is not so tired any more. So I went to a Ear Nose and throat doctor and he looked up my nose and I had a deviated septum (cricked nose on the inside) so we planned for my surgery, My sister Emily came up with her kids to watch Tacoma and Malia. We had to drive 2 1/2 hours to Vernal to get the surgery because Price doesn't have a ENT. It was a very long day since we got there and they messed up the scheduling they thought I would be the second to have surgery I ended up being the fourth. I had to weight 3 hours in a bed with an IV in my arm until it was my turn. The surgery only took an hour, after surgery they pulled the gauze out of my nose and put a nose bra over my nose It was really painful. Any way the worst part was having to sleep sitting up so I wouldn't swallow any blood at night, and feeling claustrophobic with all this gauze on my face and not being able to breath. My nose is still bleeding but should stop in a couple days. I should be able to work out in 10 days. Emily was awesome she is the perfect preschool teacher she made the boys make snowflakes, Santa clauses and ginger bread houses. I am so grateful she was able to come I don't know what we would have done with out her. Love ya Em

3 weeks of madness

I have been gone for the last three weeks. One week taking care of my sister in laws kids,The second week was thanksgiving week which was great. It was good to spend time with Paul's family and Paul was able to play in his annual turkey bowel which he loves. I went shopping with Debbie Paul's sister on Black Friday and got some great deals. I love getting Christmas shopping done a month in advance I hate to procrastinate it just stresses me out, so I am glad Christmas shopping is over with. We also got to spend some time with one of Paul's best friends from High school Ross and Katie. It was so good to see them since they now live in New York. The third week I spent with my sisters in Logan because Paul took two classes in Las Vegas. We had a blast, Shauna Carter is teaching aerobics in her church mon, wed, and fri at nine. So we went to Aerobics and then went to play soccer with another group of ladies who meet every week. I wish Price had free aerobics and indoor soccer. And the great part is that everyone brings their kids and lets them play behind us during aerobics or on the stage for soccer. Maybe I will get something started here in Price I don't think anyone plays soccer but there should be some ladies that have played basketball. My sisters also think I should start teaching aerobics here in Price at church since I used to be an aerobics instructor, we will just have to see how ambitious I will be this winter.

First professional pictures with Tacoma and Malia together

I spent all last week in Provo taking care of my sister in Law's seven kids. I was a little stressed thinking I was going to be a mother of nine for a week, but it turned out really well. Everyone did their chores and did a great job helping around the house. Maybe its because I told them I would inspect their work and if it wasn't done good the first time they would have double(my moms old rule) I even got some Christmas shopping done. I have to admit I have an addiction I love getting good deals if I could spend the same amount of money and get twice as much it is such a good feeling. So I have bought all of my kids toys off of KSL. They are used but in great condition so I am so excited for Christmas. I also got the kids pictures taken at kiddie kandids Tacoma still does not like to hold Malia so we had to put a bear in between them.

Zebras and planting trees

This last weekend was so warm here in Price, it was a perfect day to plant our trees. We bought four and got one free. We spent most of the day digging holes and planting the trees and trying to keep Tacoma helping and not get in the way. It is so nice to look out your window and see tree's. On Sunday we went to see the zebras in Castledale my friend Taryl told us about. Tacoma kept yelling at the zebras and wondered where the Giraffe's were. It was pretty cool to see Zebras in a middle of field where you would not expect it.

Fun Halloween Weekend

Paul took work off on Friday so we could have some fun family time. We went to the Aquarium in Sandy and Tacoma loved it. He loved pointing out Nemo and Dori and looking at the Aranas (spiders),Tiburones (sharks) He didn't like petting the Sting Rays too much. We wanted to go to the Zoo but it was way to cold, the Aquarium was perfect. Saturday We all got together to have a Halloween party we all made spooky treats, played Halloween games and went trick or treating. It Was tons of fun. Paul had fun dressing up as a marshmallow man and running at cars to see their reaction it was pretty funny.
