Malia's first week

My mom has been in Price all week helping with Tacoma. It has been great to sleep a little longer in the mornings and not worry about Tacoma. My mom has also yelled at me to not do to much and relax which I didn't like at first but now greatly appreciate. My mom cleaned my house and cooked for us and entertained Tacoma. Thanks Mom your the best. My Dad and Stevie came this weekend to see the baby for the first time. We went to the Dino park with Malia and Tacoma, It was nice to get out and do something. Malia goes home from Hospital July 14th

Malia Soledad Smith is born on Sunday July 12th

Sunday morning I woke up and started getting ready for church. My back started hurting. So I called my sister who is a nurse and asked her for her opinion weather to call my mom to come take care of Tacoma or not. I called my mom to bring her cell phone with her to church just in case. 5 minutes later I had a hard contraction and called my mom to come. My mom lives 2 1/2 hours away, and Paul was at church meetings. I started calling my neighbors and most had already left for church. My visiting teaching companion told me to bring Tacoma to church and she would watch him. We dropped Tacoma off at 9:30A.M got to the Hospital at 9:40 and was already dilated to an 8. That got the nurses moving they got everything ready and told me to wait for the doctor and not to push If I felt like it. There was no time for an epidural. The contractions came faster the Doctor got there and I was ready to start pushing. Malia was born on at 10:34 A.M. All the nurses were wondering if I was trying to have the baby at home, because we barely made it. I was trying to get to the hospital faster but by the time Paul fed and changed Tacoma it took a while. Paul didn't think I was in that much pain, but I really was I just had my game face on and was trying to relax through contractions. Any way Malia was 6 lbs 8 oz. 20.5 inches long. She is doing great. Tacoma didn't like her at first and didn't want anything to do with her. We tried to put Malia in Tacoma's arms but Tacoma freaked out screaming OUCH OUCH. But he is starting to warm up to her by bringing her things.

Tacoma turns TWO on the 29th of June

Tacoma's new birthday outfit Tacoma had two birthday parties one with the whole family in Kaysville before Elizabeth left on her mission, and one in Price. My parents came down to spend the day with us on the 29th which was fun. Tacoma got a race car track which I got off KSL for half the price and a Word Whammer because he loves his letters. He loves to point out different letters where ever we go like Walmart. He yells M, M, M. And At Smiths S,S,S. It fun to find the letters he knows wherever we go.
