Naomi Floralba Smith is finally here!

Naomi was born on Tuesday February 15th at 9:06 am. She was 6 lbs 10 oz. 20 inches long. I was 38 weeks and 3 days along. I had been having contractions since 36 weeks off and on and could tell the baby had really dropped I felt like I was walking with a bowling ball between my legs. I never waddled with any of my other kids but some one asked me if I had been horse back riding because I was walking with my legs so wide I didn't even notice that I was. My mom came on Friday the 11th because at 36 weeks I was dilated to 3 and 75% effaced so he said it could happen any time. My mom stayed until the 14th and had to go back up to Logan. We went walking for an hour on Sunday and another hour on Monday but nothing happened. I went to the doctor on monday and he said that I was 3 1/2 dilated and fully effaced. I was hoping for more. On Tuesday around 6:30 am I woke up with some cramping in my stomach and back I didn't think anything because it would usually go away and so I took a shower and the cramping was still there so I told Paul we should go to the hospital. We called our neighbor and brought the kids to her house and went to Hospital we got there around 7:20 and I was now dilated to a 7 the next hour was long lying in bed with an IV in my arm and contractions coming harder and faster The Doctor broke my water and soon after I thought I couldn't take any more pain it was too much to take. I thought about a epidural but didn't want to make the labor last any longer so I decided to not take anything and the baby was born at 9:06 am. She had a lot of black hair and looked a lot like Malia, but her face reminded me more of Tacoma when he was born. We are so happy she is part of our family. It still hasn't hit me that we are now a family of five (CRAZY)
