Winter crafts and potty training

Naomi loves to play dress up this is her new style cowgirl boots and a tutu everyday!

We hate, well I hate being inside all day I go crazy. I would tell my friends that we would go on walks and bikerides 2-3 times a day in the summer because of my kids, I finally realized its because of me. I need to be outside I love the sun. Since it has been like 4 degrees outside we have been doing alot more crafts and reading which the kids love, not me so much.  Tacoma is my fort maker and loves to dress up as spiderman, batman or as a pirate at least once a day. He is loving preschool and is writing his name and sounding out 2 and 3 letter words like mom, cat, dog, sam. He is also able to do simple math, and count the number of syllabulls in words.  He is so ready for kindergarten I cant wait to sign him up. Malia is still doing joy school 1x a week and loves to do whatever Tacoma is doing so she usually is a bad guy trying to kill spiderman or batman. My dad laughs that she is the girliest girl with her lipstick, purse and tutus but loves to also run around with a sword and a cape.

Tacoma wanted to decorate my house for valentines day!

Naomi is potty trained at 23 months. My sister sent me this book how to potty train in three days. I almost gave up because I thought she was still too small but we stuck through the 3 days and now she only wears diapers at night and during her nap. We probably went through 30 underwear with 3 successes the first 2 days, but on the evening of the second day she got it figured out. I new she was already showing signs of potty training I think it helps to have to watch two older siblings use the potty your whole life. She was always interested in the potty and loved to just sit there and pretend she was doing something and pretend to wipe her bum and flush it was so much fun to her. The book wanted me to train naomi to say potty when she needed to go. So I would ask a million times a day if she needed to go potty. What would finally happen is that she would yell potty as she was peeing in her undies. So I had to be with her all day to see if I could catch her going and keep asking. With my other kids I would take them every 30 min to the potty and I would get lucky and most of the time not. The other kids took a lot longer to potty train because it was me who was trained not them.  The only problem now is that she yells potty and still half the time she goes and the other half she thinks its fun to sit there. So she is still driving my crazy! I still think girls are way easier to potty train than boys.
